If you are looking for the comfort and convenience of a continental style breakfast before heading out for your day, we have a wide selection of juices, cereals, coffee, jams and jellies, as well as fresh baked bread to get you started. Or, if you have time, feel free to indulge in a fresh made waffle or two, served up hot by our friendly staff. . As well, of course, we have more traditional Japanese fare on offer, and sometimes nothing beats a bowl of miso soup as a nourishing start to your day. Night time Cherry Blossom Viewing (April) Every day while the cherry blossoms (sakura) are in bloom around Matsumoto Castle, guests who visit the castle in the evening will be treated to the sight of illuminated cherry trees. Entry into the interior garden of the castle is free for this event, and hot miso soup with pork (tonjiru) and sweet rice dumplings will be available for purchase. There's also Japanese tea and seating available for 500 yen, making it easy to sit and relax and enjoy an unusual flower viewing experience.      is the month for Shinshu Matsumoto soba festival in Matsumoto, Nagano. Bringing good times to Nagano for what is sure to be the highlight of autumn season.

There are a lot of famous Sakura viewing spots in Japan. Their beauty is often exposed through media, inspiring us to make a visit to appreciate it. They are elegant and gorgeous indeed. In the mean time, however, there are thousands of nameless Sakura in our neighbourhood all over the country. They are equally beautiful. If you are in Japan during the season, look at the hotel ground or street corners on the way to somewhere. You will surely find out such nameless Sakura blooming just as beautifully as famous Sakura.

Shirakawa-go is located in the village of Gifu Prefecture. The houses are well known for their special construction in the architectural style known as gasshō-zukuri. The roofs are made of thatch(dried silver grass) and resembling prayer hands. It still has a population about 2,000 people, still living in the houses. Declared UNESCO world heritage site in 1995, there is no such “living” World Heritage site other than Shirakawa-go.

The village will light up by illuminations every year between January and February. It is planned from 17:30 to 19:30 and the dates in 2012 are as follows.

January: 21(Sat), 28(Sat)

February: 4(Sat), 5(Sun), 11(Sat), 12(Sun), 18(Sat)

白川鄉位於岐阜縣西北部。那裏的人字形木屋頂的民宅，看起來像雙手合十，因為稱為“合掌屋”。屋頂由茅草所蓋成，至今仍有約二千名居民於村內居住。1995年被指定爲聯合國教科文組織的世界文化遺産。當中有些合掌屋會開放給旅客參觀，可親身感受合掌村的生活。每年1月-2月份白川鄉會於指定時間進行點燈活動，可以一邊欣賞雪景，一邊觀看燈下的白川鄉。不要錯過喔~
