Japan is a land with an intricate (though, not necessarily confusing) system of transportation, and there are many options of how to get around. The routes outlined

Suggested Route From Narita to Hakuba:
There is direct bus service from Narita to Hakuba departing once a day, at 8 pm or 9 pm depending on the day, and arriving at the hotel at 1:20 or 2:20 am. Please consult the Hakubus website for full details.
For larger groups, Chuo Taxi is a good alternative. It is slightly more expensive, but does give you the option of setting your own pickup time. Details to be found at their website.
